ABOUT US

Big Horn Livestock has been offering livestock handling equipment and range supplements since 1994 to ranchers in Wyoming and the surrounding states. Darin Coyle, of Riverton, Wyoming, is the new owner.

Darin was raised on a family farm and ranch where we raised registered Limousin cattle, as a child I traveled
the state showing and selling cattle. I started in FFA as an 8th grader going into High School. Going up
through the ranks from Parliamentarian to Vice President the to be the President of the local chapter for
my last two years of High school working hard to promote the Ag lifestyle and industry. I was inducted
into the who’s who book and earned the DeKalb outstanding youth award as well as many other awards
through the FFA. Also showing cattle as well as sheep and swine during the local fair also at the State fair
level. I was Blessed to have received several awards during that time. I was part of the original start to
the Wyoming Junior Limousin Association. Throughout High School I worked at the local sale barn in the
back pens organizing and sorting cattle, sheep and Horses. I also worked at the local at that time
Fremont County COOP, as well as the local Lintons Big R store through college.

After High School I attended Central Wyoming College in Riverton where I studied animal science and Ag
Business. I was on the College Livestock Judging team, we travelled all over the western United States
judging at different venues. I received scholarships to attend College that were from the local sod farm
as well as livestock judging. During College years we slowly started to switch from the registered
Limousin cattle to more of a commercial angus cross herd, where we still to this day still run a small herd
of commercial cows. I have been around livestock my whole life and can honestly say that I am honored
to still be a part of the industry I love and have a true passion for Ag.

I have worked in some form of Ag all my life, in fact in my past life I sold New Holland and Massey
Ferguson equipment for 11 years. I have made some great contacts and met some of the finest people
as well as great friends. Working cattle and building facilities to help others make the experience simpler
is truly my goal. Working cows should be fun!

I also am a coordinator for Hunting with Heroes which is an Exclusive to Wyoming hunt and or outdoor
experience for disabled veterans. Truly a heart healing experience to give back to those who sacrificed
so much for us.

After the purchase of Big Horn Livestock Services from two wonderful people, Kevin and Tracy McClurg I
can only hope to carry on the great thing they have started! I plan to continue the great service and put
in the time to benefit the Ag industry.

TESTIMONIALS

"We have owned and worked around several different brands of hydraulic chutes.  We are not
going to ever leave the Silencer line of products.   I love how the Silencer Chute doors open fully
to allow a large bull to enter, without building a ramp or adding dirt in the floor to raise the bull
so that his shoulder are elevated enough to enter freely.  After working with other chutes day
after day in the fall, the name says it all.  The other brands “scream” all day long. Also the
constant bang, bang, bang gets very old, not only for people, but also cattle…. noise is a
deterrent to cattle movement. We enjoy the way our trailer pulls the chute down the highway.
The “torsion” system of the trailer gives and pulls easily, no more rigid frame that just bounces
off the mountain. We are not leaving this line of products anytime soon.  Keep up the great
innovation!"
